Two preview performances of Eden Court's new musical The Stamping Ground 'cancelled due to illness' in Inverness

The preview show tonight (Friday) for new Runrig musical The Stamping Ground at Eden Court will not go ahead.

Last night's opening preview was also hit, as both shows were cancelled due to illness.

A spokesman for the theatre said: "The Stamping Ground shows on Thursday 14th + Friday 15th July at 7.30pm were cancelled due to illness amongst the cast and crew.

"We're contacting all affected ticket holders to offer seats at alternative performances or ticket refunds."

The official opening night and world premiere is scheduled for Monday.

The new show – a 'jukebox musical' used to tell its story of a Highland family returning from London to their hometown – is a co-production between Eden Court Highlands and Raw Material.
