Two people taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness following crash on A939 Nairn to Ballater road

Two people were taken to hospital following a crash on the A939 Nairn to Ballater road.

The collision, understood to have involved a car and two motorcycles, happened yesterday afternoon near Ferness.

Emergency services were called to the scene after the incident was reported about 3.35pm.

Both the injured people were taken to Raigmore Hospital in Inverness.

The road was closed for around five hours as police investigations took place.
