Two to stand trial accused of Inverness pub assault outside the Nip Inn

Two men are to stand trial accused assaulting a man outside an Inverness pub to his severe injury.

Jack Drummond and Billy Fraser pled not guilty to the charge at Inverness Sheriff Court on Thursday (April 28).

Prosecutors claim that on September 12, 2021, both men were involved in an altercation outside the Nip Inn on the city's Grant Street.

According to court papers, the pair allegedly repeatedly punched the man to the head and thre him to the ground.

This is said to have been to his severe injury.

Both were on bail from court in relation to other matters at the time.

Drummond (19), of Craigton Avenue, and Fraser (19), of Carnarc Crescent, are to stand trial in August this year.

Both were released on bail.
