Highland police investigating whether two separate crashes on A95 near Boat of Garten are linked

POLICE have appealed for dashcam footage as they investigate whether two one-vehicle crashes on the A95 early on Sunday were linked or not.

Two men were taken to hospital after the crashes.

Sergeant Neil Macdonald from the Road Policing Unit at Dingwall Police Station said: “Our enquiries are ongoing into two crashes that took place on the A95 near to Boat of Garten in the early hours of Sunday.

“Each crash resulted in one car leaving the roadway. The first report was received around 3.10am

“Officers attended and two men were taken to hospital. The road is currently closed.

“Enquiries are ongoing to ascertain the exact circumstances surrounding each crash and to establish if they are linked in any way.

“We would urge anyone with information or any drivers using the road at the time who have dash-cam footage to contact us through 101 quoting reference number 0729 of May 14.”

Three Scottish Fire and Rescue Service appliances from Boat of Garten, Carrbridge and Aviemore attended the scene of the first crash but left around 5am.
