Highland Council has confirmed that Bishop Eden's Primary School has two positive cases of Covid–19, and has closed.

In a short statement the local authority confirmed the cases saying pupils from the two-class school would re-open after the Christmas holidays.

A spokeswoman for Highland Council said: “We are aware of two positive cases of pupils at Bishop Eden’s Primary School.

Both classes, in the two class-school, have been advised to self-isolate for 14 days by Health Protection Scotland, therefore the school will close today and re-open after the Christmas holiday period.

"Letters have been sent out to the school community.”

She continued: "The Highland Council continues to work in partnership with NHS Highland Health Protection Team."
