One of the Inverness contestants on BBC smash hit The Traitors became the eighth person to be eliminated from the reality TV show this evening.

Tracey Griffin, a 58-year-old sonographer and clairvoyant who has worked in the NHS for 40 years, was hoping to win up to £120,000 to help pay off the mortgage on her family home.

She was among the 22 players who arrived at Ardross Castle to play the ultimate murder mystery game.

Concealed amongst them are the traitors, whose job is to secretly 'murder' (eliminate from the game) the others without getting caught. And if they make it to the end, they will take all of the money.

Traitors Paul, Harry and Miles agreed to eliminate Tracey because they believed it couldn't be connected to any of them.

After receiving notification of the decision, Tracey said: "Because of my gift of seeing people's auras and being quite psychic, I was going to be such an asset to the faithfuls which is probably why they voted for me. I don't know who the traitors are but they are playing a very good game."

After discussing the decision, remaining players went on the series' first night-time mission which was designed to add money to the prize fund by finding loot in the traitors' graveyard. As a team, they collected £7250 and Jasmine found a shield to secure protection from the traitors.

At the round table where players voted to banish someone, Evie (29) – the remaining contestant from Inverness – wanted Anthony to go and the majority agreed to send him home. The group seemed upset then angry after he revealed himself to the group as being a faithful.

In a twist, the traitors were challenged to 'murder' in plain sight rather than deciding secretly among themselves away from the rest of the group. They were told that whoever would drink from a 'poison chalice' first would be eliminated. The episode ended with Miles taking the drink to an unsuspecting faithful with Diane looking most likely to be the next to go.
