TRAFFIC light repairs on the Longman roundabout have been completed.

The lights had been out of operation since Sunday due to an electrical fault but repairs that had been due to start after the Monday morning rush hour were delayed after a one-vehicle accident at around 6am caused additional damage to a lights pole.

There were reports of tailbacks on approaches to the roundabout yesterday afternoon as a northbound lane was closed to allow repair work to be carried out and work by BEAR Scotland continued into today to again avoid rush-hour traffic.

Repairs were finally completed just after noon and the lights are now in operation.
