Torvean Bridge in Inverness will be closed for a week later this month for maintenance work.
The new swing bridge across the Caledonian Canal, connecting the Inverness West Link with the A82, will close to traffic from 8am on Monday, November 15 and is scheduled to reopen on Sunday, November 21 at 5:30pm.
Highland Council said the adjacent Tomnahurich Bridge would remain open to traffic during the works to minimise impact on journey times.
The work on the Scottish Canals operated bridge is planned maintenance and inspection following its opening in May this year as part of the Inverness West Link phase 2 project.
The timing of the works will coincide with a planned road closure over the weekend of November 20 and 21 for Inverness Rowing Club's head races on the Caledonian Canal.
