We all know that things are going to be very different when the lockdown restrictions lift, but in the true spirit of the Highlands – we will make the best of it!

One thing is certain, we know that many people are looking forward to a freshly pulled pint from one of the many wonderful bars and restaurants in the Highlands.

Here are five places that we know readers will want to see reopen from April 26 when people will be able to enjoy a pint with a friend or two outside.

Informal, warm and relaxing country retreat on the shores of Loch Ness with great food, wine and ales.

The outdoor of the pub is perfect for soaking up the atmosphere and for people to take a selfie with/without Nessie in the background.

Many of the pub's regulars, both daytime scone eaters or outdoor beer drinkers, have missed the restuarant since it closed its doors in October and are waiting patiently for it to reopen.

And keep it a secret, but those scones are absolutely outstanding.
