Tomnahurich Canal swing bridge, which is currently not fully working, should be fixed in the coming days.

The bridge was closed to vehicles on Saturday, August 5 due to operational problems.

Although the bridge has been moved into position to allow canal traffic to pass through, it is still not currently fully operational, with all incoming road traffic being diverted to the adjacent swing bridge.

A spokesperson for Highland Council said: "We are waiting on a part for the hydraulic system which should hopefully arrive this week.

"As soon as it arrives we will have it installed as a matter of urgency prior to testing and full reopening."
