Free tickets for this year's Red Hot Highland Fling will be released tomorrow (Friday, December 2, 2022) at 10am.

The event is a free of charge, family friendly open air music celebration that will see revellers counting down to welcome in the New Year 2023.

This year it will take place at the Northern Meeting Park Arena.

The event is one of a series of experiences presented by Highland Council’s Inverness Events and Festivals Working Group which is financially supported by the Inverness Common Good Fund.

Tickets for the Hogmanay bash, hosted by Scottish favourite, Fred MacAulay and featuring the bands Mànran, Tweed, and Torridon will be allocated on a first-come-first-served basis, and demand is expected to be high.

Those looking to pick up free tickets can get them online by visiting the High Life Highland website from 10am on Friday morning.

A spokesman said: "The actual event will see doors opening at 7.30pm, with the show starting at 8.30pm and running through until 12.30am on January 1, 2023. Those allocated tickets are being requested to be in the arena by 9.30pm to enable the ticket validation processes to be undertaken."

Further details will be issued nearer the time regarding parking availability and details on access arrangements to the Northern Meeting Park Arena, including safety and security information for those attending.

However, even at this stage, attendees are advised that food and drink providers will be on site at the venue, therefore individuals will not be permitted to take their own food and drink into the arena.
