THE A9 southbound at Daviot was closed briefly following after a three vehicle crash.

The collision occurred shortly before midday and sparked a warning from Traffic Scotland that the southband carriageway was blocked.

It is understood that the road is now open, although Traffi Scotland is still advising motorists to use caution and expected delays of up to quarter-of-an-hour.

One ambulance and police attended. Officers said one person suffered "minor injuries".
