THREE males are expected to appear in court later this month after drugs worth £2500 and more than £4000 in cash were recovered during raids in Inverness.

The arrests follow two drug search warrants which were carried out in Merkinch and Dalneigh on Friday.

Police said that the £2500 worth of drugs included crack cocaine and heroin.

Three males aged 23, 19 and 17 were arrested and charged and are due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Christmas Eve.

Detective Inspector Ritchie Macrae said: "This latest recovery is a further example of the excellent work being undertaken by our officers on a daily basis to robustly tackle County Lines drug supply.

"We will continue to target those involved in this type of criminality in conjunction with other police forces and partner agencies across the UK.
