Three Highland charities are urging people to show they care this Christmas by sending cards to people affected by the day-to-day strain of 2020.
Highland Hospice, Marie Curie and CHAS have each launched a range of cards which are going to be available for sale in the Eastgate Centre from Wednesday, November 4 until Saturday, November 14 each day from 10am until 4pm, under the umbrella name of United Highland Charities.
Highland Hospice trading manager Marie-Anne Vrac said: “The effects of not working or isolating have impacted many who have experienced loneliness or suffered from mental health issues.
“This year more than ever before, showing you care by sending a Christmas card with a few kind words could really help to brighten someone’s day.
“If you don’t usually send cards, why not make this year an exception? Just taking the time to be mindful and think of who would appreciate hearing from you could have huge benefits.
“Our Christmas cards are unable to be sold in many of the usual shops or stalls which stock them at this time of year, so by purchasing them in Eastgate, you will be helping us greatly.
“Why not put the sparkle into someone’s Christmas and support a deserving cause at the same time?”
