Both departures and arrivals at Inverness Airport are being disrupted due to fog.

Loganair’s scheduled 8.55am return flight from Stornoway was delayed after the early morning departure from Inverness took off 24 minutes late.

The Scottish airline’s 9.25am service to Kirkwall is also delayed with no confirmation of when it might depart.

Despite the challenging conditions, Loganair’s early morning flight to Manchester was able to depart just five minutes late.

There were also minor delays of around 20 minutes for EasyJet’s early morning London Gatwick departure and BA’s Heathrow flight.

All other services were scheduled to fly, but a Highlands and Islands Airports Ltd spokesman advised all passengers to check with their airlines before travelling.
