Police in the Fort Augustus area are appealing for witnesses following an incident of theft by housebreaking.

It was at the St Peter & St Benedict's Church sometime between Friday (August 26) and Saturday (August 27).

A spokesman said that entry was forced to the church, via its front door, and money was stolen from various donation boxes.
