2 Highland contestants in BBC's The Traitors series two start to show their true colours

International smash hit BBC TV series The Traitors returned to our screens today (Wednesday) – and there will be even more Highland interest in series two after a couple of Inverness women were named among the contestants.
Evie (29), from the Highlands kicked the show off with an instant friendship with fellow contestant Miles after they bonded over having the same profession as a veterinary nurse.
Tracey (58), also from the Highlands, said: "I will be looking into everybody's energy and reading their eyes" as she awaited her fate as to if she was set to become a traitor or a faithful.
It wasn't long before all the contestants were gathered around an ominous round table to find out who was going to become a traitor and who would remain faithful, with both Evie and Tracey named faithfuls.
While the contestants were crippled with anticipation as to who they could trust, the show's host Claudia Winkleman, soon greeted them with some good news as she revealed that no one was going to be 'murdered' (eliminated from the game) on the first night.
Harry (22), Paul (36) and Ash (45) were selected as the first three traitors in the show and were soon given the responsibility of choosing another traitor to join their alliance.
Trust amongst the contestants the following morning over breakfast was slipping as all 22 participants had their eyes on the end prize in the bid to win £120,000.
The players were soon sent on their first mission to assemble a puzzle and set it on fire, with a twist; they were tied up.
The contestants were given 40 minutes to complete the challenge with the option of three people having the opportunity to find a shield that protected them from murder, but at what cost?
The team players soon discovered who around them they could trust as some worked together to secure the prize fund, while others selfishly ran for a shield that guaranteed them survival in the first game.
Kyra (21) was the first to run for a shield to protect her from being murdered, but also heavily contributed to the game showing herself to be a team player as she found the first puzzle piece.
Harry and Jaz (30) were the next to take a shield that would protect them from being murdered later that night, with Harry misleading the group by pretending to be a faithful.
Both Evie and Tracey remained faithful and trustworthy team players as they worked together with the other contestants to complete the challenge rather than saving themselves from being murdered that night.
The team successfully united for the first challenge as they completed it with seconds to spare and added £15,000 to the prize fund.
The first episode was left on a cliff hanger as to who was going to be recruited as the final traitor and who was subsequently going to be murdered.
