Academy Street in Inverness will be partially closed for a day to allow the removal of a crane.

Highland Council says the street will be closed between the junctions with Margaret Street and Friars Lane from 7.30am to 7.30pm on Sunday, November 3 while the removal takes place.

Before that, Planefield Road will be closed between junctions with Duncraig Street and Fairfield Road for maintenance works by a contractor working on behalf of BT Openreach.

That closure will take place from 9.30am to 4.30pm on Friday, October 25.

Access will be maintained for emergency services and pedestrians.
