Motorists are being advised by Highland Council that there will be a temporary road closure on part of Drummond Road, Inverness, commencing at its junction with Culduthel Road (forming part of the B861) to its easternmost junction with the U4004 at Glenburn Drive.

The temporary closure will be in operation from 8am until 6pm on Saturday March 13 2021.

The closure is required to enable a contractor, working on behalf of Cityfibre, to install fibre-optic cable as part of the rollout of the 5G network.

Access will be maintained for pedestrians and vehicles employed to carry out the works. Alternative routes will be available for all other vehicles.

The closure will be implemented when appropriate signs and barriers are in place, and local residents will be notified by post.
