Temporary overnight closures of Inverness city centre streets to enable digital infrastructure work by BT Openreach

Two Inverness city centre streets will be temporarily closed to traffic several nights running next week.

Traffic will be prohibited from Union Street and Post Office Avenue from Monday February 14 to Thursday February 17 nightly between 9pm and 5am.

It is to allow for essential digital infrastructure work by BT Openreach.

Union Street will be closed between its junction with Academy Street (forming part of the B865 Millburn Road – Academy Street – Chapel Street road) and its junction with Drummond Street.

Post Office Avenue will be closed, starting at its junction with the B865 Academy Street to its junction with the Queensgate to Post Office Avenue link road.

Traffic will be unable to turn left into Union Street from the B865 Millburn Road - Adademy Street - Chapel Street. Also there will be no right turn into Union Street from the B865 Millburn Road - Academy Street - Chapel Street.

There will be no left turn into the B865 Millburn Road - Adademy Street - Chapel Street from Post Office Avenue and no right turn into the B865 Millburn Road - Adademy Street - Chapel Street from Post Office Avenue.
