The B851 Errogie, Strathnairn, Daviot Bridge, Culloden Moor road will be temporarily closed between today and Friday.

Highland Council is advising motorists to find an alternative route while the road is resurfaced.

The first closure will be between the B851's junction with the A9 and its junction with the B861 Inverness to Leys to Inverarnie Road – it will be in operation overnight from 8pm today until 6am tomorrow.

And the second closure will be between its junction with the B861 Inverness to Leys to Inverarnie Road and its junction with the C1076 Loch Ashie to Dunlichity to Brin Road – it will be in operation for three nights from tomorrow until Friday between 8pm and 6am on each night.

A council spokesman said: "The closure is required to enable road surfacing works to safely proceed. Access will only be maintained for vehicles employed to carry out the works. Alternative routes will be available for all other vehicles."
