A Nairn teenager allowed himself to get involved in an early morning fight in the town centre with some other youths.

But 19 year old Travis Abbott, now of Novar Crescent, Evanton was arrested for his role in the disturbance which saw him kicking another man on the body and knocking him to the ground.

The 19 year old admitted the assault which occurred on November 27, 2022 on High Street Brae.

His solicitor, Rory Gowans told Inverness Sheriff Court: "At the time he was 17. This was not started by him but he let himself get involved.

"He has done a lot of growing up since then."

Sheriff Ian Cruickshank fined Abbott £290.
