Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE) to host sustainable travel event UHI Inverness

PEOPLE in Inverness will be able to attend a free event to encourage sustainable mobility at a city campus.

Highlands and Islands Enterprise (HIE), together with other partners, will be hosting an event to help locals discover more on green travel options.

The Sustainable Travel Day will be held at Inverness Campus from 12pm to 2pm on Thursday, April 28.

On the day, HITRANS will be providing Hi-Bikes to try for free and people will be able to learn about funding and grants for electric vehicles or enjoy a led walk around the Campus.

Refreshments will be available as well as a smoothie bike for an active snack. Velocity Cafe will be there with Dr Bike so that attendees will be able to get their bikes checked, and a range of affordable reconditioned bikes will be available to be purchased from New Start Highland.
