The Rotary Club of Inverness Riverside has put together a poster bringing together helplines and contact details for almost all local groups offering support to those in need.

And as part of their efforts, the Rotary Club brought together the wide range of groups

for a meeting at the Culduthel Christian Centre.

Representatives from food banks, Citizens Advice Bureau, Mikeysline and other help and support groups took part to share their insight into where people needed help.

Among the key findings was the amount of people seeking help with food – with around 150 meals being served up each week by various groups across Inverness.

Also highlighted was the need for support for refugees from Syria and Afghanistan – and the expected need to help Ukrainian refugees in future.

The rising cost of living also cropped up and the need to help new parents.

The round table discussion went on for several hours as the groups got to know what each of their organisations were dealing with on a daily basis in order to address the needs of those around the Highlands.
