Highland Hospice is appealing for a middle-aged man to get his dancing shoes on and step in to boost Strictly Inverness 2024.

The spectacular charity dance contest returns to the city for a 13th year in May but organisers are one male dancer short of the full complement of 32.

They are seeking a male aged from mid-forties to sixties to join the fun.

Hospice communications officer Wendy Morgan said: “We are missing a vital piece of our Strictly Inverness jigsaw!

“The search is on for a knight in shining armour to step in and help us out, joining our existing 31 dancers to make up the full complement for 2024.

“We need a male aged approximately mid-forties to sixties who can partner a very lovely lady to learn two individual dances plus a group dance and fundraise for Highland Hospice and Inverness Ice Centre.

“It's a commitment, but a whole lot of fun – and we are here to support you all the way to our show dates in May.

“Could this space be the boost you've been looking for in 2024? Have you been thinking about applying previously but putting it off?

“This could be destiny calling out your name. There are so many benefits to participating, as our previous contestants can testify.”

The charity is asking the public to help find the individual they need.

She added: “If you, or anyone you know, can help out two very deserving charities, we would love to hear from you.

“We would really appreciate your help in finding our man.”

Those interested are asked to send Highland Hospice us a message via their Facebook page and they will respond.
