Art, crafts, food and drink will be centre stage in an outdoor street market in Inverness tomorrow.

Moray Markets has organised a By The River Outdoor Street Market in an area of the Inverness Cathedral grounds from 10am-4pm.

The market will host a wide range of homeware by local artists as well as textiles, handmade silver jewellery, local preserves, reed diffusers, wax melts and bee products. All of these crafts and wares come exclusively from the Highlands and Moray.

The primary focus of the event is to create a positive impact within the local community by offering friendly and affordable spaces for small businesses and local charities to hold their own stalls.

The free entry event will also include live music, and vendors on the Highland Food and Drink Trail. There will be face painting, children’s clothes and toys for the younger visitors to enjoy.

Organiser Ericka Murchison hopes to provide visitors to the market with a “traditional Scottish experience”, adding “we are delighted to be fully booked up tomorrow with lovingly handmade wares from around Inverness and Moray-shire”.
