FLOODING caused by Storm Desmond has caused massive disruption to rail services between Inverness and Perth.

ScotRail has warned that no services are expected to run through the Cairngorms on Sunday.

They also warned that services running elsewhere in Scotland may be cancelled or revised at short notice in the aftermath of yesterday's torrential rain and high winds.

A spokesman said: "Due to heavy rain flooding the railway between Perth and Inverness the line is blocked. All stations between Perth and Inverness will not be served. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.

"Replacement road transport has been order, but is not ret confirmed. We apologise for the delay to your journey today."
