A CITY choir brought a splash of colour to their rehearsals recently, getting all dressed up for St Patrick’s Day.

The Singing for Pleasure group are currently preparing for a fundraising concert, the Big Spring Sing, at the end of this month.

The Haven Appeal aims to raise £3.2 million to build a new Inverness centre for children and young people with multiple complex needs and is the inspiration of choir leader Elsie Normington.

Her foundation is working to realise the Haven Centre project, which will feature specialist play centres, a community cafe and garden, office space, meeting rooms and respite accommodation.

Along with Singing for Pleasure the concert on March 31 will also feature the Rainbow Singers, Smithton Primary School Choir, the Drummond School Players and guest soloist Julie Keane.

The concert starts at 7.30pm and tickets priced £10 are available from Merkinch Community Centre on 01463 239563.
