THE award-winning Inverness cycling charity Spokes for Folks has been given a welcome boost thanks to a local roofing company.

MacLeod Roofing has sponsored a trike for the initiative which takes less mobile people out for spins round the city on trikes piloted by volunteers cyclists.

Sandy MacLeod of MacLeod Roofing read about the initiative in a local paper and was inspired to send them £1000, especially as it was run by people giving their own time to help others.
