Ever wanted to meet Spider-Man, the Ghostbusters or Chewbacca from Star Wars?

Fans of all manner of comic book and big screen heroes and villains will be able to rub shoulders with an array of fictional characters as a huge touring event hits Inverness for the first time later this month.

The Big Glasgow Comic Page (BGCP) is bringing the travelling ComiCon event to Inverness Leisure on Saturday July 29, with doors open from 10am to 4pm.

Attendees are being promised a fun day out suitable for all ages and budgets, with tickets starting from as little as £1 and all children under 5 years old welcomed free-of-charge.

It will showcase more than 60 traders and artists selling merchandise from Marvel, DC, Pokémon, Star Wars, Dungeons & Dragons, and many more.

Ian Bonar of BGCP said: “BGCP first started plans to run in Inverness back in 2019, but due to the pandemic it was postponed – until now, having confirmed Inverness Leisure as the venue.

BGCP has run comic conventions in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Loch Lomond, Ayrshire, Dundee, Fife, Aberdeen and the company believes Inverness can also become an annual host given promising ticket sales.
