LIVERPOOL band Sound Of Guns fired up for their two-o'clock RockNess Saturday slot with an old-fashioned acoustic set at noon.

The band's Simon Finley kept the beat going on a wooden board with lead singer Andrew Metcalfe adding handclaps, as the band played three songs in the Monster signing tent.

Andrew said: "Playing at 2pm isn't difficult for us, I think we'll just set it up for the rest of the bands."

And he added: "But I wouldn't want to follow our band."

As their set included a mini-stage invasion, Andrew launching himself into the crowd, pinching someone's cigarette while he was at it, before scaling a lighting tower, it was easy to see what he meant.
