Some of a group of Travellers who set up camp in Torvean Park last week have moved on, it has been confirmed.

However, not all of the group have moved along and are still camped at the Inverness site.

They arrived early last week and their presence prompted residents to contact Highland Council – officers have been in discussion with the Travellers in a bid to get them moved on.

A council spokesman said that some of the group had moved on over the weekend but some still remained there today.
