MOTORISTS are being warned to drive with care after Traffic Scotland issued a warning for heavy snow on the A9.

The move comes amid forecasts of frequent wintry showers across the area.

They are being driven by strong westerly gales amid yellow and amber Met Office warnings for storm force winds across Scotland on Wednesday.

Traffic Scotland also has a warning in place for vehicles to take care crossing the Kessock Bridge in Inverness, although no restrictions on high sided vehicles were in force at the time of writing. Motorists are being warned to expect delays of up to 15 minutes however.
