Stagecoach has suspended all its early services in the Highlands and Inverness due to the adverse weather.

The operator announced at 7am that buses across the region will not run until further notice, with a further update expected at 8am.

Temperatures plummeting below zero – with temperatures reaching -14 in Dalwhinnie – and a yellow weather warning disruption to travel is expected to last until tomorrow.

ScotRail have announced that travel between Inverness, Edinburgh and Glasgow will be affected by delays and cancellations as trains will avoid crossing at Carrbridge, Slochd, Tomatin and Moy.
