Six nurseries and two primary schools in the Highlands closed or partially closed for various reasons including lack of heating or power

Highland Council has announced six nurseries and two primary schools are closed today.
Highland Council has announced six nurseries and two primary schools are closed today.

Six nurseries and two primary schools in the Highlands have closed today or will open late for various reasons.

Holm Primary School in Inverness and its nursery are partially closed because of no water, heating or power. They will open two hours later.

Marybank Primary Nursery is partially closed due to coronavirus.

Durness Primary School and nursery are closed due to unforeseen circumstances.

Deshar Primary Nursery, Kinlochbervie Preschool and Scourie Primary Nursery are also partially closed due to unforeseen circumstances.

The closures effect 277 pupils in primary schools and 72 children in nurseries.
