A further six cases of coronavirus Covid-19 recorded in NHS Highland area

Six new coronavirus cases were reported in the NHS Highland area over the past 24 hours.

That brings the total number of cases confirmed within the region since the start of the pandemic to 5194.

The daily Scottish Government statistics showed a total of 414 new cases of Covid-19 reported across Scotland over the last day.

There were 23,508 new tests that reported results.

Some 1.9 per cent of these were positive.

No new deaths of people tested positive were reported.

Four people were in intensive care yesterday with recently confirmed Covid-19, one less than the previous day.

A total of 3,082,251 people have received the first dose of the Covid vaccination, according to the stats.

And 1,769,040 have received their second dose.
