A record number of people have signed up to compete at this year’s Inverness Music Festival organisers say.

More than 500 children, young people and adults have signed up for the 2020 event which takes place at Eden Court Theatre from February 27 to March 4.

This year’s outing will include a number of new events including a dance-themed piano competition and a non-competitive musical theatre performance section, sponsored by Starlight Musical Theatre, offering participants the chance to receive feedback from experienced adjudicators.

There will also be a Veteran’s Talent Show for over 60s.

Applications to take part are open until Friday by emailing admin@invernessmusicfestival.org

The festival, a registered charity, is also looking for volunteers to help with the running of events over the week.

No experience or qualifications are necessary and more information is available at www.invernessmusicfestival.org
