Droves of people were stopped from entering Tesco at 9am on Sunday morning in order for the older residents of the community and NHS staff to be first in the queue for shopping.
The move amid the coronavirus outbreak, was widely praised.
However, The Inverness Courier has been told the elderly group of shoppers will be isolated from NHS workers, due to the over-70s being considered a high-risk group for contracting coronavirus.
