Shoplifter reoffended just after court appearance

The woman had been admonished on several theft offences before doing the same later the same day.

Cody Smith (27) of Paradise Place, Bridge of Earn, admitted further shoplifting on August 18, after walking free from court.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard she stole £23 worth of food from Iceland in the city's Rose Street, but was spotted by staff leaving without paying and stopped.

Sheriff Matheson fined Smith £100 and told her: “Stay out of Inverness from now on.”
