'Seriously' injured man in hospital after Inverness disturbance

A man was in hospital on Sunday with "serious" injuries and another has been arrested and charged following a disturbance in Inverness on Saturday evening.

Police were called to a property in Ardness Place at around 5.30pm on Saturday to reports that a 38-year-old man had been injured following a disturbance.

A police spokesperson said: “The injured man was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness where he remains for treatment. Medical staff describe his condition as a serious but stable.

"A 37-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the incident. He is due to appear at Inverness Sheriff Court on Monday, January 8. A report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal."
