Dundonnell Mountain Rescue Team has been taking part in the search for James Paton who has been missing since December 23.
Searches on December 23 and Christmas Eve focused on woodland in the Fanellan and Ruttle areas near Kiltarlity.
The mountain rescue team has been assisted by HM Coastguard helicopter 951 from Inverness as well as by dog handlers from Police Scotland and Search and Rescue Dog Assocation (SARDA) Scotland.
Dundonnell MRT leader Iain Nesbit said: "Our thoughts are very much with Mr Paton's family at what must be a very worrying time for them".
James Paton was last seen around 1.30pm on Monday near his home in Kilarlity.
His car, a blue Dacia Duster, was found at around 4.30pm in Ruttle Woods, about three miles from his home, parked on a track with his dog inside.
The 72-year-old is described as 5ft 5ins with a grey beard and hair. He also wears glasses.
It is thought he was wearing a black and red checked shirt and usually wears blue jeans or black work trousers.
