Scottish Cup final: Flag flying in support of Caley Thistle

A flag has been raised in support of Caley Thistle ahead of today Scottish Cup final.

Inverness face treble-chasing Celtic at Hampden this afternoon.

The game will kick-off at 5.30pm in Glasgow.

Thousands of supporters have been leaving Inverness this morning by car, train and bus.

Meanwhile, in the Highland capital a flag has been raised above Inverness Town House, a banner is on display at the Victorian Market and Ness Bridge is being lit in red and blue – Caley Thistle's club colours.

Inverness Provost Glynis Campbell Sinclair said: “We are all extremely proud that our local team, Inverness Caledonian Thistle have reached the Scottish Cup Final for a second time. It is a great achievement.

“The team deserve our full support going into the final, and I and many others, will be cheering them on.

“Let’s all get behind the team, and give them as much support as we can.”
