A familiar face will be running the touchline when Ross County face off against Dundee United at Tannadice on Saturday – none other than the Scottish Conservative leader Douglas Ross.

The Highlands and Islands MSP will be one of the linesmen for the crunch match for the Staggies who will be hoping to capitalise on the win against Livingston in their bid to remain in the top tier.

The appearance by Mr Ross has already drawn some attention from supporters online and it is not uncommon for him to verbally assailed while working as linesman in the Scottish game.

The other officials will be referee; John Beaton; linesman Steven Traynor; fourth official Matthew MacDermid; VAR is in the hands of Steven Kirkland and AVAR Daniel McFarlane.
