PICTURED: Flooding in the Highlands after 48 hours of torrential rain

The Highlands has been enduring near constant rainfall in many parts but much of the worst weather came in and around Aviemore. Pictures show parts of the town were inundated while elsewhere in Badenoch as illustrated by the picture above from Chris Renton which shows the extent of the flood waters.

Heartbreak for householders in Aviemore:
