LADIES attending a crunch football match in the Highlands this weekend will be dressed to impress as they help raise a small fortune for sick children.

Ross County Football Club has teamed up with the Archie Foundation, which is behind a transformation to the children's unit at Raigmore Hospital.

An impressive 126 tickets have been sold for the Ladies Day which coincides with the Staggies' home clash against Motherwell.

Only a handful remained.

Adding spice to the occasion for the club's fans is the return of former manager Stuart Kettlewell.

The club said: "This year we are raising funds for the Archie Foundation, who have been in the Highlands for over 10 years and in that time have made some truly wonderful transformations to the Highland Children’s Unit at Raigmore Hospital and support is needed to allow the charity to continually succeed."

The club hopes to raise up to £3000 for the Foundation through the event which kicks off at The Victoria Suite at the Global Energy Stadium around lunchtime.

Setting the scene, the inviting event blurb says: "On arrival you will walk the red carpet, our photographer will be there to take some

pictures and you will be served with some fizz. Your hosts for the afternoon are Kenny and Michael from Torridon, so be ready for a sing song throughout the afternoon."

The event includes a three-course lunch and complimentary bar prepared by Red Poppy Catering. There will be pre-match chat from Kenny and Michael between courses.

Attendees will then be shown to their seats for the match with half-time refreshments to look forward to regardless of how the game plays out.

The man of the match will join those gathered for the presentation and photo opportunities at full-time.

The dress code states: "Dress to impress!"
