Motorcyclist seriously injured in collision with school bus near Inverness

A MAN was taken by ambulance to Raigmore Hospital, Inverness, with serious injuries after his motorbike and a school bus collided near Daviot Quarry south of the city.

It is understood there were children on the bus but police have not said if any were injured after the crash on the B road near the Balnafoich crossroads.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 4pm on Monday, August 23, we received a report of two vehicle crash outside Dalveallan House in Inverness involving a bus and a motorbike.

“Emergency services attended and the motorcyclist, a 55-year-old man, was taken to Raigmore Hospital with serious, non-life threatening injuries.

“The road was blocked for a couple of hours while uplift of the vehicles was arranged.”

No further details on the motorcyclist or his condition were made available.
