Muirtown Primary School and Nursery are closed due to damage to the building

Highland Council has announced that both Muirtown Primary School and its nursery are closed today.

The authority said this was due to damage to the school building.

Muirtown Community Council posted on its Facebook page to confirm the closure and gave the reason as a burst pipe.

It is understood the closures could continue tomorrow.
