CLASSIC car and vintage vehicle buffs are being urged to get a date in the diary for a head-turning rally later next week.

The Fortrose and Rosemarkie Classic Vehicle Rally takes place on Saturday, August 26 with its usual starting point of Dingwall Auction Mart.

In excess of 150 entries are expected for the event which sees participants make for the King George V Playing field in Fortrose.

Classic cars, motorcycles and commercials will rally at the mart from 10am and then go on display at the Black Isle site from noon until 4pm.

Sales, stalls, local produce, craft stalls, music and entertainment will round out a day aimed at all of the family.

The free event has become a firm favourite down the years with refreshments available and a well-supported raffle.

Step in Style dancers from Inverness and the Norcon Pipe Band are also expected.

The event is being teed up locally.
