One of the Highlands’ biggest Christmas markets will be hosted by Inverness Leisure this weekend.

The annual event run by Moray Markets & Carboot Sales returns on Saturday between 10 am and 3pm.

As in past years, the giant event will showcase local art, crafts, food, fresh flowers and other products all under one roof.

Plenty of attractions have been laid on for families and young people with visits to Santa’s grotto available without booking, live music throughout the event, and a host of festive photo opportunities.

There will also be a kids’ nutcracker hunt, face-painting and temporary tattoos, and donkey and pony meet and greets between 10.30am-12.30pm.

As well as the usual array of festive treats and hot drinks, there will be four charity stalls this year - with Mikeysline, Adopt a Child, Scottish Staffordshire Bull Terrier Rescue, and Guide Dogs UK represented.

Entry to the event is free, and Ericka Murchison, owner of Moray Markets & Carboot Sales, said: “We’re very excited to be back in Inverness this weekend.”
