An Inverness councillor was surprised a roadside verge looked more like a stream following heavy rainfall over the weekend.
Duncan Macpherson, who represents Highland Council's Inverness South ward, took several photos of the scene in Cedarwood Avenue yesterday and shared them via social media.
He also echoed residents' safety fears when in his tweet he said: "A footpath at Cedarwood Avenue is flooded and turned into a stream.
"Following heavy rainfall, the water was cascading downhill at Milton of Leys in Inverness South, presenting a health and safety hazard, with residents fearing the possibility of landslides and more permanent damage."
